OUR FOUNDERS
Meet Oakley Rae.
Hey there! I’m Oakley Rae, and I’m so glad you’re here. Growing up, art was always a massive part of my life. Whether it was painting, drawing, or just getting messy with colors, I loved every bit of it. As I got older, I dove into studying culinary arts and textiles, which opened up a whole new world of creativity for me.
Traveling across the US has been a big adventure, teaching me resilience, adaptation, and how to laugh even when things get tough. Every place I visited and every person I met added a new layer to my story.
One of the most important things I’ve discovered is how crochet helped heal my anxiety. There’s something incredibly soothing about the repetitive motions and the feel of the yarn in my hands. It became my go-to way to unwind and find peace.
My art reflects all these experiences. Whether it’s a textile piece that tells a story, a drawing that captures a moment, or a watercolor painting that brings a scene to life, each piece is a part of my journey.
I hope you enjoy exploring my collection and find something that speaks to you. If you have any questions or want to chat about art, feel free to reach out. I’m always here and excited to connect with you.
Thanks for stopping by!
Meet Jules.
I’m Julie McVey, but most call me Jules. I'm an organizational psychologist, change expert, and artist who thrives on innovation and exploration. My journey began in Hollywood at 16, acting in hit TV shows like Felicity, Roswell, Freaks & Geeks, and 90210. My artwork has been featured on the History and Discovery Channels, and I’ve dabbled in voiceovers, sound editing, and improv comedy.
A near-death experience at 19 shifted my path dramatically. I became a firefighter, studied aerospace engineering, art, philosophy, and communications, and fell in love with neurology, sleep medicine, and psychology. For the past 20 years, I’ve dedicated myself to helping people heal their minds and bodies.
In 2023, my daughter Oakley Rae and I opened our art studio to help people rediscover the joy of play, laughter, and embracing change. Here, we offer splatter art, sensory play, music, and open mic nights for all ages. We also partner with organizations to create human-centered systems that foster growth and connection.
Life has been a brilliant, sometimes challenging adventure. I’ve learned to overcome obstacles by diving headfirst into the unknown, building unexpected partnerships, and creating relationships based on mutual respect, cooperation, and trust.
What’s your story? Have you ever wondered how a splash of paint can transform your mood? Or how a simple melody can bring people together? What if you could let go of stress and build stronger team relationships through creative play? Imagine your family thriving as you get messy with splatter art or share a song at an open mic night.
Remember, the longest relationship you’ll ever have is with yourself. Great things take time, so let’s make the journey worthwhile.
Thanks for stopping by and being curious about who we are.
