You Found Us. The Only Paint Balloon Splatter Art Studio in the United States.
Welcome to Seattle's most gloriously unhinged art experience - the original Paint Balloon Splatter Art™ and Athletic Expressionism™ sanctuary.
At Wicked Rae's, we don't do basic. We do paint balloons, tennis rackets, punching bags, drums, color chaos, and tailor-made mayhem you won't find anywhere else. We're fully appointment-based, which means when you book - the studio is yours.
No wandering strangers. No waiting room vibes. Just you and your crew and full permission to go wild.
You want something custom? Dream it. Pitch it. We live for that kind of challenge.
Neon birthdays? Therapeutic breakups? Midnight sessions just because the night air feels alive? Yep. We’ve done it. And we’ll do it again.
We're open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, Wednesday through Sunday by Appointment.
Late night paint sessions, early morning creativity, midnight art therapy, whatever your soul craves.
Appointment-based means we craft time slots around your life: dodging rush hour traffic, fitting between shift work, or catching that 2am burst of creative energy. Let us know times that work best, and we'll make it happen.
It’s an off-the-grid kind of freedom, like riding your bike at dusk, arms up, laughing into the wind with nobody knowing where you are. That’s the feeling we bottle at Wicked Rae’s.
So, scroll our splatter packages. Book the one that calls to your inner chaos goblin - mix and match to what each person wants - or invent a new one. We’re game.
Perfections not invited. But you are. Cheers, mates.🔥

What Is Splatter Paint, Really?
It's not a class. It's not a workshop. It's a full-body, full-soul creative rebellion through our Signature Paint Balloon Splatter Art.
You don’t follow instructions - you follow instinct. You fling, punch, stomp, and launch paint in all directions with zero judgment and full-volume expression. It’s messy on purpose, and transformative in ways you can't explain to your therapist (though you might invite them next time).
No techniques to learn. No rules to follow. Just that rare permission to combine explosive athletic movement with creative expression - and call it art.
💥 This Studio Is for Every Flavor of Chaos
Wicked Rae’s is Seattle’s only boutique Paint Balloon Splatter Art and Athletic Expressionism space - designed for big feelings, bold movement, and ridiculously fun connection.
Just a few ways people have embraced the mess:
-

-
🥳 Birthday Parties – Ditch the bounce house. Choose curated chaos

Collaboration & Community Partnerships
At Wicked Rae’s, we’re more than a paint studio - we’re a sanctuary for sensory joy, bold expression, and the kind of connection people remember long after the paint dries.
When people feel truly safe to create in their own way, something extraordinary happens.
Our paint balloon splatter art and expressive movement experiences have become a meaningful space for many of our neurodivergent guests - children, teens, and adults alike.
Here, there’s no pressure to follow steps, no judgment about the “right” way to create. Just color, movement, texture, and the freedom to feel.
We intentionally built our studio to be inclusive, adaptable, and deeply human-centered.
What We Offer
Private, appointment-only sessions - no crowds, no overstimulation
Sensory & accessibility accommodations - texture alternatives, pacing options, sound modulation, and environment control
Programming for all ages - from tiny sensory-seekers to expressive teens, adults, and elders
In-studio therapy dog (Bones-Fish!) - grounding support for regulation and comfort
A trauma-informed, neurodiversity-aware team - guided by psychology, creativity, and compassion
Emotion-forward experiences - release workshops, creative regulation sessions, and expressive movement art
Partnerships That Make an Impact
We’ve become a trusted collaborative partner for organizations that support youth, families, veterans, and communities seeking more accessible ways to connect and create. Current and recent partners include:
DSHS & Transitioning Youth Programs
Foster Care Organizations
Veteran Support Groups & VA-adjacent programs
The Genesis Project
Lake Sammamish & regional outdoor programs
Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery
Local zoos & animal sanctuaries
Seattle & Bellevue School Districts
Senior living communities
Each partnership is unique - and intentionally designed. Whether you’re building a sensory-friendly event, an emotional wellness activity, an expressive arts program, or something new that doesn’t exist yet, we’re here to co-create it with you.
Let’s Build Something With Purpose
If you’re an educator, therapist, researcher, camp director, community advocate, youth leader, or program manager, we’d love to collaborate. We host:
Sensory-safe creative play
Emotional regulation workshops
Movement + texture-based art sessions
Team connection activities
Nature + art integrations
Multi-week experiential programs
Large group events and “off-the-wall” ideas
We’re flexible, enthusiastic, mission-driven, and ready to help your community feel something real - joyfully, colorfully, messily.

💬 Wicked Rae’s Splatter FAQ
Booking & Scheduling
Q: How do I book a session?
A: Hit our online booking page for groups of 1-6 people. For groups of 7-9, give us a call or text. You can also message us directly on social media. Phone calls are available 1PM–8PM, Wednesday through Sunday (subject to times when we're in sessions or hosting events). We're sometimes available to text during sessions, but we'll call you back within 48 hours. It all starts when you say, "Let's do this."
Q: Can I just walk in or drop by?
A: Not yet! We're appointment-only right now (though we might add walk-ins soon). All sessions require at least 48 hours' notice. Why? Because we're out in the wild teaching workshops, hosting corporate events, and bringing art chaos to weddings and retreats. We want to be here and ready when YOU arrive!
Q: What are your hours?
A: We're open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (Wednesday–Sunday) by appointment. Yes, you read that right. Want to splatter paint at 2 AM on a Saturday? Give us 48 hours' notice and we'll make it happen (subject to availability). We're the studio night owls dream about.
Q: I don't see a time that works on your booking page. Can you help?
A: Absolutely! Our posted times are just the starting point. Most sessions are by request, so shoot us a message and we'll flex the schedule just for you. We work around YOUR life.
Q: How early should I arrive?
A: Show up about 15 minutes before your scheduled session - not earlier. We flip the studio between bookings so you get full privacy and a freshly chaotic canvas. Your booked time is your paint time, so if you're late, you're eating into your own splatter minutes!
Q: When does my session actually start?
A: Your booked time is your paint time. If your session is at 4:00 PM and you roll in at 4:10, you've got 20 minutes of glorious chaos left. Plan for parking, Seattle traffic, and don't ghost your canvas.
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: At least 1 week in advance to lock in your preferred time. We host everyone from corporate teams to bachelorette parties to families, and spots fill up fast - especially on weekends!
Group Size & Pricing
Q: How many people can I book for?
A: Groups of 1-6 can book directly online. Groups of 7-9 people need to call us to reserve, and there's an additional $50 cleaning fee (bigger crews = bigger messes). For 10+ people, call us and we'll design a custom experience.
Q: Do I have to pay for everyone in my group?
A: Yes! Everyone participating needs their own paid package. No sharing sessions, no sneaking in extra people. We're fun, not a free-for-all.
Q: Can I bring friends or family to watch?
A: This is a private studio experience for participants only. Everyone in the Splatter Room needs their own package. Observers would still be in the paint zone, so they'd need to suit up and pay up!
Payment & Refunds
Q: When do I need to pay?
A: Full payment is due upon receipt unless you've made other payment arrangements with us in writing. Once you book, your spot is locked in.
Q: What's your refund policy?
A: All sales are final. No refunds. Once we prep your paint and reserve your time slot, we're committed - and so are you!
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: We get it - life happens. But instead of refunds, here's what we offer:
-
Reschedule with 14+ days' notice: ONE FREE reschedule (one-time courtesy!)
-
Reschedule with less than 14 days' notice: $25 fee
-
Reschedule with 48 hours or less notice: $50 fee
-
Gift it: Transfer your session to a friend (just let us know who's giving and who's receiving)
-
No-show? You lose the session entirely. No refunds, no rain checks.
Q: Do my sessions expire?
A: Yes! You must use your experience within 60 days from the date of purchase. After that, it voids. No exceptions, no extensions, no refunds. Book it, use it, love it!
Ages & Supervision
Q: What ages do you welcome?
A: Little artists can start splattering at age 2 and up! Kids ages 9 and under must have a grown-up with their own paid package in the room to supervise (and ideally, make their own mess too).
Q: Are the age limits strict?
A: Nope! Age restrictions are guidelines only. Parents and guardians know their children best, so you decide if this experience is right for your kiddo. Just know that you're responsible for supervising them the entire time.
Q: Do you watch my kids?
A: No! We are not a childcare service. Parents and guardians must actively supervise their children at all times. If a child leaves the Splatter Room (for bathroom, snacks, etc.), an adult must go with them.
Q: Is it kid-friendly?
A: Wildly so. Kids love it. Parents love it. Chaos loves it. We also offer private sensory-safe sessions for neurodivergent kiddos - no extra cost, no weird forms. Just ask.
Q: Is it safe if I'm pregnant?
A: We use non-toxic tempera paints, which are generally safe for pregnant individuals. However, every person and every pregnancy is different! We strongly encourage you to consult with your physician before booking to make sure this activity is appropriate for your specific situation. Your health and your baby's health come first!
What to Expect
Q: Do I need art experience?
A: Not even a little. This isn't art class - it's expressive chaos. No rules, no judgment, just your energy and a whole lot of paint. If you can throw, squirt, stomp, or smear, you're qualified.
Q: What's included in my session?
A: Every booking includes:
-
30–60 minutes of private studio time (depends on your package)
-
One canvas per person (11x14 to 16x20 - larger sizes available on request)
-
Sensory splatter tools: brushes, balloons, bottles, water guns, texture fun
-
Protective gear: poncho, shoe covers, shower cap, and goggles (goggles are required!)
-
A studio tailored to your energy and your people
-
Q: What should I wear?
A: Anything you're okay with baptizing in rainbow splatter. We provide goggles (required), ponchos, hair covers, and shoe covers - but you'll still walk out gloriously messy. Think of it as battle scars from creativity. Full body waterproof paint suits available for $20!
Q: Will my glasses fit under the goggles?
A: Absolutely! Regular prescription glasses fit fine. For funky oversized glasses, it depends on the size - but we'll make it work.
Q: What type of paint do you use?
A: Our standard paint is tempera - non-toxic, easy to clean, and safe for all ages. However, for tailored experiences, we offer upgrades to acrylic, glow-in-the-dark, fabric paints, spray paint, enamel, and more for an additional cost. If you have allergies or sensitivities, let us know so we can accommodate!
Q: Will my painting look like a masterpiece?
A: Maybe! Maybe not! And that's the point. We provide an experience, not a guarantee. If you layer paint over and over, it might turn brown or muddy - and there's not much you can do except start over or buy more paint. The magic is in the process, not perfection. We can't promise you'll love your final product, but we CAN promise you'll have a blast making it.
Q: My tempera painting dried matte. Can I make it shiny?
A: Yes! Tempera naturally dries matte, which some people love. If you want that glossy, vibrant look, grab an acrylic varnish from any craft store and seal your masterpiece. Instant luster!
Q: Can I bring additional canvases to paint?
A: Absolutely! Just give us 48 hours' notice so we can prep the space. Keep in mind, you'll need to purchase take-home boxes for any extra canvases (our included boxes are reserved for standard package canvases). Extra boxes cost $5–$20 depending on size.
Food, Drinks & Extras
Q: Can I bring food or drinks?
A: Yes! It's BYOB - bring snacks, champagne, sparkling cider, whatever makes your session tasty. Just pack it out when you're done. We don't provide food or drinks, but we won't stop you from popping bubbly mid-splatter.
Q: Can I buy anything extra at the studio?
A: Yes! We offer:
-
Full body waterproof paint suits: $20
-
Additional paint colors or upgraded paint types (acrylic, fabric, etc.)
-
Extra canvases
-
Take-home boxes for additional canvases: $5–$20
-
Extended time
Give us 48 hours' notice if you want paint suits or other add-ons so we can ensure we have your size in stock!
Artwork & Take-Home
Q: Can I take my artwork home?
A: Heck yes! Your masterpiece gets boxed up and goes home with you. For big pieces like our 24x36 panels, make sure you have the right ride (car with trunk space, not a tiny Lyft) - wet paint waits for no one. We do not keep your paintings unless prior arrangements were made before your session.
Q: What if I bring extra canvases?
A: You'll need to purchase additional take-home boxes since our included boxes are reserved for standard sessions. Boxes range from $5–$20 depending on canvas size.
Location & Accessibility
Q: Where exactly are you located?
A: Ignore Google's confusion. We are not inside Springline Apartments and not Domino's Pizza (though they weirdly share our address). Walk past Springline and find us ground level, across from the Thai place and the funeral home. Yeah, it's weird. We love it.
Q: Is the studio accessible?
A: Yes! We offer sensory-safe sessions for neurodivergent guests and can accommodate mobility needs. Just call ahead and let us know what you need - we'll make it work.
Policies & Waivers
Q: What if there's an emergency and the studio has to close?
A: If WE have to close due to a health emergency, natural disaster, power outage, or other crisis during your session, we'll reschedule you at no extra cost (one-time courtesy).
Q: Do I have to sign a waiver?
A: Yes. You're entering a space where floors get slick, paint flies, and tennis rackets swing. You're assuming the risk and releasing us from liability for injuries, falls, or damage to your belongings. By booking and participating, you're agreeing to our terms.
Q: Can I get kicked out?
A: Yes - but only if you're hostile, threatening, discriminatory, or violating our community guidelines. Paint loud, but paint kind. If you're disrespectful to staff or other guests, your session ends immediately with no refund.
Gifting & Transfers
Q: Can I gift my session to someone else?
A: Absolutely! Just let us know in writing (email or text) who's gifting it and who's receiving it. The 60-day expiration still applies from the original purchase date, so make sure your friend uses it in time!
