Building Community Through Creativity and Connection
At Wicked Rae’s, we believe every person deserves a place to move, create, and feel something real - whether they’re a kid who can’t sit still, a teen navigating big emotions, a neurodivergent adult, or a community member who simply needs a moment to breathe.
Our partnerships are built on one simple truth: Art and movement change people. Not in a theoretical way, but in a “you can see it in their shoulders, their breath, their laughter” way.
We bring that experience to schools, parks, youth programs, therapists, and community organizations across Washington.
Our Approach
Two Creative Pathways. One Shared Purpose.
Every human processes the world differently. Some need to move. Some need to slow down and feel. Some need both.
That’s why we offer two distinct, trauma‑informed creative pathways:
⭐ Athletic Expressionism™
Movement • Rhythm • Impact • Release
For the kids and adults who think better when their bodies are in motion. For the ones who need to throw, stomp, swing, punch, or pour to get the energy out. For the ones who feel most themselves when they’re laughing, sweating, or doing something a little chaotic with their people.
This pathway blends art, sport, and full‑body expression. Designed to support emotional regulation, sensory needs, and nervous system release.
⭐ Texture & Sensory Art
Hands‑on Materials • Grounding • Focus • Calm
For the humans who find presence through touch, detail, and quiet exploration. For those who need a slower pace, a softer entry point, or a tactile way to process the world.
This pathway includes mosaics, paper pulp, paper mache, clay, sensory trays, and grounding materials - all designed to help people feel safe, steady, and connected.
Who We Partner With
We collaborate with organizations who believe in movement, creativity, and human connection as essential tools for wellbeing.
Schools & Districts
Seattle • Issaquah • Bellevue • Kirkland
We bring sensory‑based workshops, STEAM‑aligned art experiences, and movement‑focused creative sessions to classrooms, after‑school programs, and special education teams. Our workshops support emotional regulation, executive functioning, teamwork, and confidence - without requiring students to sit still or be perfect.
Transitional Youth Programs
Washington State DSHS – Transitional Youth Services
We provide movement‑based art experiences for youth navigating instability, trauma, or major life transitions. These sessions offer a safe, judgment‑free space to release energy, express emotion, and reconnect with their bodies.
Therapists & Mental Health Providers
We partner with therapists who use our studio as an extension of their practice - combining talk therapy with movement, sensory work, and creative release. Some clients need more than a chair and a conversation. They need to move. They need to feel. They need to express without words.
Our space gives them that.
Parks, Nature Programs & Environmental Organizations
⭐ Friends of Lake Sammamish
⭐ Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH)
⭐ Downtown Issaquah Association
We collaborate on community events, youth and intergenerational programs, and nature‑based art experiences that connect creativity with the outdoors. Jules also serves as a Board Member for Friends of Lake Sammamish, supporting park stewardship, youth engagement, and accessible community programming.
Youth Organizations & Nonprofits
We volunteer throughout Washington to bring art and movement to disadvantaged youth - because creativity shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a lifeline. We’ve brought splatter paint, sensory art, and grounding workshops to shelters, community centers, and youth programs across the state.
Why We Do This
Because not every kid thrives in a desk. Not every teen can talk about their feelings. Not every adult can regulate by sitting still. Not every nervous system calms the same way.
But everyone - every single human - deserves a place to feel:
-
Safe
-
Seen
-
Connected
-
Expressive
-
Alive
Art and movement make that possible.
