Service Description

This isn't a class. It's a studio. Kids come in. They pick up what's calling to them. They make. We set up the supplies. We put on music. We take dance breaks when a song hits right. We create alongside them. We guide when it helps. We step back when it doesn't. We let them fail spectacularly and then watch them figure out something better. What's on the table: Painting. Sculpture. Linocuts. Mosaic. Papier mâché. Fabric and textiles. Beads. Mixed media. Plus whatever's in season. We're not teaching. We're making, in the same room at the same time. 🦋 Who This Is For Kids who get bored in structured art classes. Kids who've been told to color inside the lines for too long. Neurodivergent kids who need a different kind of room. Kids whose hands need to be doing something. Kids who've been called "too much" somewhere else. Kids who haven't found their thing yet. And kids who have, and want a place to do it. 🦋 Who This Isn't For Parents who want their kid to come home with a perfect Pinterest project. Parents who want a structured curriculum with measurable outcomes. Parents who don't want paint on their kid's clothes. That's genuinely okay. We're not for everyone. Plenty of art programs in Seattle do that work well. We do the other thing. 🦋 Why This Works Self-directed doesn't mean no structure. It means your kid drives the work. Kids who get to choose what they're making and how develop creative confidence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to recover when something doesn't work. They learn that mistakes are part of the process. They learn to trust themselves. Your kid will not come home with a glued-together craft kit. They might come home with something messy. They will come home with something they actually wanted to make. That's the difference. 📅 Monthly Sunday Session One Sunday per month · 2 hours · Drop-off only 📆 Weekly Sessions Available throughout the summer and school year Monthly memberships and individual session rates available.
