Today’s leaders were shaped by the economic instability and arts education cuts of the 1980s, fostering scarcity mindsets and emotional detachment in corporate culture. This paper reveals how unprocessed childhood trauma became embedded in leadership—and offers a path forward through arts-based, trauma-informed practices that enhance empathy, creativity, and long-term organizational success.
